I was very fortunate to spend the weekend in one of the world’s most beautiful villages. Also known for its great apples. Shall heaven exist, why wait until you die to see it? Visit this village and see heaven while you’re alive.
One thing I wish for all of you guys: to experience the same few I hours I spent with a seventy six year-old man whose only source of living is a small piece of land.
We were there at 6:30 am at 1350 meters above sea level. We spent four hours walking in the fields discussing agriculture and wild life in general.
Yes. It was early. But sometimes beauty is hidden where you never expect to find it.
The old man was telling me how he usually looks after his land and, in a way, sending me quick messages on how I should be doing the same with my life and my own.
He told me a story:
There were two brothers living in a small house in the desert. Each one of them had his own camel. The brothers used to feed their camels the same exact food and the camels used to drink the same exact quantity of water.
But. One of the camels was much stronger than the other. Why? That’s exactly what the brother with the weaker camel asked the other brother with the stronger one.
The answer was quick and simple. The brother with the stronger camel said that he always faces his camel at night while sleeping. The other brother was always turning his back to his own.
And that’s how the old man illustrated to me how to always look after my own.
Hanna will never know that I’m writing about him. He doesn’t even know that there is something called the “internet”. I just wanted to share with you some of his philosophy.
It’s Monday. A lot to do at work. I will get back to whatever I was doing and try to always take into Hanna’s words.
I wish his voice could reach some of our world leaders.
Oops. According to them? He’s just a poor old farmer. What does he know?

Let Them Know Where the Next One Is
Or else, they will create one for you. That’s the truth.
Do you know who’s going to inherit the world? Arm dealers. Because everybody else is busy killing each other. That’s the truth.
Somewhere in Africa? Or maybe not. Probably in Eastern Europe. Let it be. It takes a single flight, a price list and here you go. The shipment will be on its way.
Yes. As simple as that.
In case the market is down? Well. Not that of a big issue. Few phone calls to big-shot politician friends and a war is announced. You realize that intelligence services are spread all over the world. And they do their jobs.
You know. Arm dealers have families to support. Yes. We should understand.
Kids get their books to read in some of the most prestigious universities in exchange for bullets other kids are shooting at each other. That’s the truth.
If it were for a certain cause? For people who’ve been resisting a tyrant enemy for decades? Why not. Unfortunately they need it. But does a ten year-old kid in Freetown need it? I don’t think so.
Death has always been a source of living to some people. Shall there be wars and killings, there will be big black tie parties and bottles of champagne being opened.
An expiry date in a certain part of the world is a fresh product in another. Why throw arms away. Instead they sell it and transfer it. But this shall never happen shall there not be conflicts somewhere.
Again. If there are any, they will create one for you.
And that’s the truth.

When I Met Me
Does it sound weird for a title? Well maybe. But it happens to me as much as it happens to you. I’m sure.
I meet me and you meet you.
Let me put it this way: I meet myself and you meet yourselves.
Still confusing? I assume you know what I’m talking about by now.
Well. For those who still have no clue, let me say it straight: we all change on a regular basis. Whether on purpose or not.
Quick example: New Year resolutions. Those of you who do them raise your hands. Millions of hands in the air. No. Don’t put your hands up for Detroit! We all love their city but I’m trying to be serious here. Sigh.
Talking for myself? I change a lot. But usually unintentionally. During the past few months? Extremely. I’m not going to go into the details but mainly my way of thinking has changed. My views for many things have changed. Sometimes I’m being too indifferent. Things that used to bother me don’t anymore. Most of my hobbies have changed. I’m becoming more and more interested in technology. The World Wide Web has become my Whole Ride Head.
Art: I’m appreciating paintings, books, and sculptures. I’m observing.
Beauty: I have not seen any ugly girl for the past few months (except for most of the silicon girls). Yes. I’m not joking.
I’m blogging. Who would have thought?
For all you readers out there: a revelation. I’m not totally right in the head. I have changed as a newborn grows.
Allow me to relief myself again. We all change. No? No matter how old we are, we constantly change. I guess life experiences contribute a lot in that.
People change but the greats will always remain great. People change but the sunrise will always remain in the east and the sunset will always remain in the west.
I still want to know what’s exactly on “The Other End of Sunrise”.
Someday I will.
