A Silicon World - A Bit of Nonsense

Hi folks. It’s me. Dany.

Blogging again!

I hope this one doesn’t offend some of the readers. In particular the “she” readers. Well in case it does, please accept my sincere apologies. Your comments are welcomed. But watch out. Your negative ones will let me know a lot about you.

Guys. How lucky have we been for the last month or so? What do I mean?

ROOFTOPS!

A great gift from God has come down upon us. Well not exactly. We have to take the elevator and go up few floors.

Music, drinks, smokes and “silicon”. Covered with skin.

Don’t take me wrong. I like it. Not love it. Just like it. Many others love it though (mostly the cigar dudes). They sit there and sing the Eiffel 65 song “Silicon World”:

Cause all that I want is a Silicon Girl
With Silicon lips
And Silicon hair
Sha-lala-lalala
You're my Silicon girl
So come into my silicon world

And BTW. Cigar dudes. You smell. Chicks don’t like stinky guys. My advice? Simple rule: drop the cigar and stick to the perfume.

The funny part? If a silicon girl stares at you? She stares at you. There’s no way out. You’re dead. Even when she’s with her man! Staring means confidence. And for some reason they have a lot of it. They don’t realize that silicon makes them ugly (there are exceptions though).

Now. Why rooftops? Because that’s where silicon is these days.

You know. It’s “in”.

The guy who reserves a table on a rooftop, smokes a cigar and has a silicon girl as a date: He’s “in”.

The silicon girl who goes on a date with a guy who has a table on a rooftop and who smokes a cigar: She’s “in”.

It’s sweet. They complete each other.

As for me, I don’t smoke cigars. So I’m not one of those guys. Thank you.

Girls. Keep up the good work. But please try not to fly.

A champagne cheers to all

Water vs Concrete / View vs View

A 20 year old view gone. That's what my building is experiencing. A new one is under construction. And where? Just facing mine and blocking a great sea view. Sigh.

"In your face". That's what the new one is saying to the old one. It's Dikembe Mutombo's 3220 career blocks in the NBA.

So many things had been seen in that sight. From great sunsets to war ships throwing its rockets. The good and the bad. The beauty and the beast. But with this new building, all past memories seem "good" and "beauty".

I hope you're starting to know me by now. You know. The "positive" guy?

I say there will always be other beautiful things to look at. The sunset will never disappear. I will follow it wherever it goes. And no concrete will prevail over water.

Thought I would make it a quick blog for today. Too many things to do at work for a Friday.

Peace

Black Coffee "Decaf" Please

Yes. I well said "decaf". And here I am. Exactly 3:19 AM writing this blog. Sigh.

Major rule in life: Never trust your waiter with your "decaf" coffee. Sadly I happen to be one of those people really sensitive to caffein.

But there's something special about this coffee place. It happens to me all the time and I keep on going there. I don't even complain. It's like it never happened.

It's not me. Weird!

I'm not going to name the place. It's really nice. You should go.

Nothing much to say but a lot to think about. A simple cup of "supposed to be decaf coffee" kept me awake till now and made me remember and think about stories it had been ages I stopped thinking about.

Well. Some were pretty recent. Like eight months old.

I would like to share with you the fact that Die Hard 4.0 is being released today (http://www.livefreeordiehard.com/). I will be watching it with a huge basket of popcorn. You know which one. That one with the 2000 calories.

Finally a huge standing ovation to REM and Coldplay for their new single "In The Sun" (http://www.remhq.com/). My favorite song. In my modest opinion, one of the greatests of all time. It says:

May God's Love Be With You
Always
